PROGNOSE ZUM SPIEL Germany - Serbia 20.06 21:00

Asiatisches Handicap - Handicap 1 (-1)

The teams of the qualifying quartet B will play their games of the second round. On Thursday night Germany U21 welcomes Serbia U21 at Stadio Nereo Rocco in Trieste. These sides had an opposite start of the tournament? Will the nominal hosts win again?

Germany U21

Germany arrived in Italy as the reigning European U-21 champion. The young Germans are playing under the guidance of the same coach Stefan Kuntz. The youth Bundesteam was the most efficient in the qualifying round having scored an average 3,3 goals per game. The Germans had a ten-point gap over the second-ranked Norwegians. Cedric Toikhert from Schalke has scored seven goals and became the top scorer of the national team. Unfortunately he did not enter to the final roster and will not play in Italy. But there are four players who won the European gold two years ago: Nadiem Amiri (Hoffenheim), Mahmoud Dahoud (Borussia Dortmund), Levin Oztunali (Mainz) and Waldemar Anton (Hannover).

We note the defenders Jonathan Tah (“Bayer”) and Lucas Klostermann (“Leipzig”), and the midfielder Maximilian Eggestein (“Werder”)  among the new stars of Kuntz’s team. The German journalists also recommend looking at goalkeeper from Schalke Alexander Nubel. They say this guy can become a new Manuel Neuer and will soon follow the same path from Gelsenkirchen to Bavaria.

The Germans had a brilliant start of the continental campaign. They beat the Danes with a huge score 3:1. Marco Richter made his double having scored before and after the break. Then Gian-Luca Waldschmidt has strengthened the advantage of his team. Finally Robert Skov from Denmark has scored from the penalty spot in the 73-d minute. The hosts lead the quartet with three point as well as Austria.

Serbia U21

Serbia won the qualifying group 7 with 26 points after ten games. The young White Eagles competed against Russia, Armenia, North Macedonia, Gibraltar and mentioned above Austria. They had eight wins and two draws in their record. They did not lose within a whole preliminary round.

Actually the Serbians are the worst in the quartet B. They have been beaten by the Austrians in their opener. Their goalkeeper Boris Radunovic has conceded from Hannes Wolf and Sascha Horvath.

These sides met for the last and unique time four years ago. This battle ended with a scoring 1:1 draw.

Germany is favorite that found a good run. We expect the leader will add another victory to its record. We recommend betting on the home side’s win with an Asian handicap of (-1) with a nice coefficient of 1.96
